Emberwatch is a free typing game. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no chat, and we never ask for your name, email or any other personal information. The game is paid for by ads, which are explained below.
What the game saves
The game saves a few small things in your own browser (using what's called local storage), so they are still there next time you visit:
- your best score in Calm and in Rush mode
- whether you turned the sound off
- whether you've already seen the guided first night
- whether you accepted or declined ad cookies
This stays on your device. It is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Ads
Some pages show banner ads from our advertising partner, Adsterra. To show and measure ads, Adsterra and the advertisers it works with may use cookies and similar technology and may receive information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location and the pages you view. This information is handled under Adsterra's privacy policy.
When you first visit, a small notice lets you choose. If you pick "No ads cookies", no ads are loaded at all on this browser. To change your choice later, clear this site's data in your browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies there at any time.
The First Words pack page is made for young children and shows no ads. When the First Words pack is played on any other page, no ad is shown on its game-over screen.
Hosting
Like every website, the company that hosts this site (Vercel) may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
